Well that escaped me, thanks.
Just put the original textures in and still looks the same, even with that wooded texture in the middle.

Is it possible that one of your French sceneries has overwritten a default texture? It certainly wouldn't be unheard of if it had

It could well be, I've tweaked and added things and probably lost track. Doesn't qute explain where the airfield base texture is thou but then yours was the same.
I may try VFR scenery again and a re-install of Part 8.
Quick question, my VFR scenery is the old JF series, is Playsims/Horizon the same or is it updated/revised textures? It always looks better in the ads than what I see on my screen!

Looking closely, our shots aren't quite the same. You have at least one tile that isn't the same as mine.. one that springs to mind looks like rows of trees.. near the centre of the shot under one of the little roads.
Are the JF released Phototextures and the VisualFlight textures the same.. in a word, no.. at least they weren't. My original set were for 2002 with a 2004 compatible sticker on the box. These were updated through VFRTerrain.. new mesh and a few texture changes. A mate (my then chef at the pub I ran) bought the JF textures a while after I bought mine. He thought he'd bought the same but they were very much different. The JF set had a very pale green hue (this was also present in their screenshots) which wasn't there in the Getmapping/VisualFlight/JustFlight release. Yes.. I know Just Flight is mentioned and they're there on the box but their own release wasn't the same. The set you see in the screenie are version 2 which was never a stand-alone release and came with GenX by Horizon/Playsims. They're basically the same as my originals but condensed into 3 parts rather than 4 and patched ready to go
The JF set were also quite a few quid cheaper than the original 2002 Getmapping/VF/JF release which retailed at around £30 each! 
If yours are the JF set, that may well explain the subtle differences between our shots

Mmm, confusing, may update my old VFR scenery then.
Anyway I've re-selected VFR scenery so obviously all looks well though a few of my RWY12 objects are missing at Elvington. I'll see if I get on with it again. It does mean I can put some farmstrips in, and get Lundy back.
