I have not had any sticking etc with my Yoke but it maybe because it's well used!!

I have this set up with my homemade throttle, a bit "Heath Robinson" but it works ok for me!

Just to really throw one in from the outfield, my cadet squadron runs with a Saitek Cessna Yoke.
I've had the saitek pro flight yoke and thought it was abysmal. The chap at the shop where I spent a fortune on hardware for the sim begged me to buy the Cessna one. He said I wouldn't look back. He's right, it's lovely.
So much better built than the pro flight thing and it's smaller across the yoke itself, i.e. your hands are closer which makes it nicer to handle.

Following on from DaveB's comments,I used FSUIPC to programme the right hand lever on the top as a reverse thrust lever on jetliners.On piston engines it defaults to mixture control. EricT
ps I still have the MS Sidewinder2 joystick which was my first device.It was used for less than two years but it's kept in reserve.

Hi,

If you were flying one-handed, i.e. the other hand on a throttle or doing something else, there was too much play in the yoke and it was very difficult to pitch with one hand. You had to have both hands on it to get smooth movements in pitch which isn't always possible. It seemed that the yoke itself had to much "wiggle" and the shaft came out of square if you were one-handed.

I liked the quadrant very much, but the yoke movement was poor and a bit cheap. Quite disappointing as it was a present.

No such problems with the CH unit Chris and size-wise.. it's similar to the same as a Viscount/VC10/1-11.. authentic if you will

Re' the Cessna yoke.. I looked at that after buying the CH product. Not seen one in the flesh but it certainly looked the part. A fair bit more expensive than the CH yoke if I remember right
