Mike, you will love it.Years ago When working for BT I had a long involvement with the telecoms section of British Midland Airways.Unbeknown to me,SWMBO contacted their telecoms manager to sound out the possibility of a session for me on one their 737 simulators. At that time they were in a new building at Coleville in Leicestershire,a building I knew well.It took a while before a gap in their schedule became available and on evening she asked me what I was doing on a particular evening the following week."Nothing" I replied.
"We'll you are now!" she said and told me what she'd arranged as a surprise for our 25th anniversary.
The following day I was back at BMA and now all the staff that I used to deal with who had known about this for some weeks
could now let out their secret!
I had a whole evening on a 737-400 full motion simulator with them,al for free!
Make sure you let us all know how you get on. EricT :)

You will certainly enjoy it! The modern sims are amazing; most of the time I spend in them I am working fairly hard, but every now and then I get a chance to play... That is great fun. The last challenge I did was brakes of to brakes on again flying a visual circuit (of sorts)... Can't remember the exact time, but it was less than a minute. In a modern sim like the 330 I fly you can get totally absorbed and it is certainly true you come out after 4 hours very tired.

I really enjoyed taking folks into the VC10 sim... I certainly remember Dave B and Dave M enjoying it! Funnily enough I found the article I wrote the other day :-)

Tonks
It's NOT real!!!!!

My wife gave me a one hour flight in the 737 simulator at Folifoot, Yorkshire for my 60th.

Thursday is Ben's fasting day.

Eric - could you warn Julie to keep his dinner to 300 calories and a glass of water, please. He'll thank you for it ;)
