Re: Was I dreaming?
Thanks Dave & Ben,
Checked 'em all, strangely found one that I'd replied to, but it was still red, meaning unread.
Don't waste any more brain power on it, I'll take it that I did something wrong. That's how it works at home, and it works well.
If Ben wasn't busy with his dock project, I'd ask him about the email envelope not showing on my screen (Rob Carrich) and why I still can't automatically log in.
Neither is urgent Ben, just when you have free time.

200? Sounds like there's a whole parallell forum universe going on at the PM levelTSR2 wrote:There is a limit of 200 messages in the PM system ...

And Mike - great signature strip! But I can't work out why there's a picture of Brad Pitt in it

Hi Mike,
Sounds like there is something clearing your cookies as this is how it remembers if you've ticked the box to say "keep me logged in"
Which browser are you using?
Just checked Ian and its actually 250

Re: Was I dreaming?
Thanks Ian, but I apparently blew the budget on size (not something I've ever been famous for!!)
It was taken at our 43rd Wedding Anniversary November 2012. 43rd? I hear you ask....yeah, I'm just too lazy to run.
Hi Ben,
Firefox browser. There were about 60 messages stored, but I've stripped it back to about 30.

Re: Was I dreaming?
Thanks again Mike but I'm not short on Harriers, I have all AP's 24 configs.Airspeed wrote:Now John,
This is the last time I'm going to help you before 3PM AEST, which is a full 9 minutes away!![]()
Here's a version of AP's Harrier for both sims, and only the creature from the black lagoon carries more slime!http://www.flightsimworld.com/downloads ... /1766.html
Hope this one works for you.
Getting back on track - did the slime lights work? And if so then any suggestions why mine don't.

Re: Was I dreaming?
Yes John,
They did work in FS9 using that linked D/L. It was labelled as FS2004/FSX, so I thought it may have fixes for unstable bits.
Do your other nav lights work? When I turn lights on, I get the lot, red, green, + slime. Could you possibly have bumped a setting and your usual button has been disabled?
The model is jolly good fun, so easy to VTOL. I have an entirely different one in my hangar, but apparently in the interests of reality, it will only VTOL with a very small fuel load, and the nozzle adjustment, IIRC, was quite complex.

Re: Was I dreaming?
OK Mike that's half the answer, just the not working half left. I don't know where they come from, I'm sure they are not a light as such that's listed in the cfg. Maybe they're alpha channel or something.Airspeed wrote:Yes John,

As for hovering I assume you've got Rob Barendregt's VSTOL gauge. He states 21000lbs auw and mine works perfectly at 60% fuel and these cfg tweaks.
[TurbineEngineData]
fuel_flow_gain=1.5
inlet_area=39//31.861(lower=faster)
rated_N2_rpm= 29920//27000
static_thrust=22500//21500
afterburner_available=0
reverser_available=0

Read yours, John,
"OK Mike that's half the answer, just the not working half left. I don't know where they come from, I'm sure they are not a light as such that's listed in the cfg. Maybe they're alpha channel or something."
Unsure what half did get answered there. Anyway, though you're not short of AP's work, would you please humour me by downloading that linked file and installing it. Then we're comparing apples with apples.

EDIT: I'm guessing they're a PART which takes on the lit characteristic on condition=nav. lights on. He didn't use "Lights", because they're usually points, and he needed slabs.
[Thanks for the tip about that hover gauge. I have no idea if I have it - my previous Harrier came from UKMIL in about 57 varieties! Theirs doesn't have slime, and I think I've probably ported over a FS9 version.]

Hi Mike,
It may be that your AV is clearing out the cookies. if you look in your cookies there should be one cbfsim.co.uk before you go to the website.
