Check out the announcement in my link, Ben. It tells you exactly what it does and what it is incompatible with. Not much by the sound of things. But I'm not sure what many of the other things are so you'd be a better judge!

So it looks mainly like a texture upgrade at the moment. Going by the screenshots in the announcement, most regions looks pretty much the same as each other :dunno:
Looks much better than default, but not £140 better in my eyes.

Here are some screenshots comparing default FSX scenery with the replacement FTX Global scenery beta. Just a reminder that FTX Global is a set of enhanced textures that simply replace the FSX default landclass worldwide. This first basic texture set at around £70 comes with enhanced airports. There is a second, advanced set to come later which is optional and will be continually improved and developed for a one-off lifetime payment of a similar amount.

As it is simply a replacement texture it should be compatible with all the add-ons that work in FSX.

Thanks Ian,
I honestly don't know which looks more like the real thing, but I do see a lot more trees in the FTX shots.
