The plans are available Brian. Just type Eastbourne Monoplane into Google and a pile of the little tinkers will flash before your eyes

It really is a sheer delight to fly and if you're pointing into the wind, it'll climb with very little throttle. Will have a look at the RC models and see if any are electric

In those days, aeroplanes were little more than powered kites. The wings would probably lift with a fart

The FS model doesn't have that method of launch control built in. Perhaps it will in P3D
Imagine trying to land on a carrier with 25kts of wind going over the deck. You'd have to have a team of blokes out to grab it from the sky

Just reverse it in mate
Or get the Captain to steer downwind so he could land on full throttle

I do very little WWI sim flying because I've found the opposite. Keeping them going is bad enough, but try to climb.....oh dear, I stall and lose height.
Glad to see that the sky didn't fall down when you spelt a 4 letter word without asterisks Garry!

This one has plenty of lift Mike. You can get it off the deck in almost as short a time to say it. You can grab it here if you're interested..

Funny you should mention that Dave, I'm sure I read some place that the last dogfight in Europe during WW2 was between a Fieseler Storch and an Auster over Berlin , with the observers taking pot shots at each other using pistols

Creepy ain't it?
There's a hidden message in there, given that the Auster and Storch were/are both
piSTOL aircraft
