I purchased the QW 146 as its always been an aircraft that I've liked ever since I saw the roll out in May 1981. However it doesn't quite meet my expectations and I'm always drawn to the 1-11 when I have a choice.

I always use the EAL version as it was the only one that I flew as a passenger in.

Well done DM for producing a great aircraft so long ago that even payware aircraft can't compete with.

Yes I know what you mean.
Same happened to me with nearly every payware aircraft I bought.
And that's what keeps me hesitating - even with an aircraft as tempting as the 146.

Must say I've no issues with the QW Avro, other than can't wait for the 146 version, which I think is now scheduled for Easter ish.

TSR2 and WJ - The only issue I have with the QW146 is the instruments readability. It may be my setup, but they are not very clear.

Other than that Its great to fly. Also looking forward to the 146 version release.

I would also like to do some paints as there are many to choose from, the paint kit looks good and all I need to do is work out how to do it

Ian had this issue too, until he noticed that he hadn't ticked the high Resolution 3-D virtual cockpit in his P3D settings (same in FSX from memory). Definitely worth checking as the gauges in his screen shots after he'd changed it were spot on.
Its in Display settings / under the aircraft tab.

I eventually decided that the underlying problem was the combination of smallish glass panels being viewed on my 17.3in laptop screen. I know one can zoom in or magnify the displays but that spoils the realism. The boys with full size displays don't have this problem but it's worth bearing in mind if you don't have a larger high-def display. I should be able to solve the problem by buying an external monitor but I'm in no hurry. I'll wait and see what the 146 looks like and carry on flying my CS 732 with steam gauges which I can see clearly.

Ian, I think it my be my monitor that may be causing the problem It wasn't the best quality as I tried to keep the cost down when I purchased my system.
False economy it seems.

Thanks for input I may need to change it and upgrade my system. Its about 4 years old now, although apart from the monitor problem it seems to cope reasonably well - just!
