Now then.. I know you love BA Landor Garry so stop making out you don't. It's like Ben saying he dislikes B73's when we all know he loves em

I'll get my coat!

I can imagine purgatory as being locked with Ben in a room full of pics and models of BA Landor Boeing 737's :worried:

Terrible time for liveries..Air UK, BM, BA Landor, United grey etc :(
Hi Garry,

just came across this little hymn on the BA Landor livery and can't resist to post it here for you... :worried: :hide: ...

http://taylorempireairways.com/2009/11/ ... 1984-1997/

And now.... I run...

Honestly, terms like "understated British elegance and savoir faire" is pretty much what I felt when looking at the aircraft as a young boy. I don't know why but it was most impressive...

Great to debate on taste! :) ;)

All the very best,

Nick

Yep.. the original was the best and the current almost as good and a stylised turd would be better than Landor

On a more serious note...BA called themselves the Worlds Favourite Airline but just about everyone disputed that so why they claim it supported them as the undisputed leader..well, it just shows how they didn't live in the real World as if they had, then Landor livery would never have happened

I'm surprised they didn't say they wanted the National Anthem changed to Landor Hope and Glory

Well, but for the claim -
Swissair had "world's most refreshing airline" while Austrian had "the most friendly airline"... I doubt you can sell more tickets with that...
I also like Thai's "smooth as silk" and Aeroflot's "sincerely yours"...

Yet - marketing is never about the real world... ;)

Cheers,

Nick

Air UK ran a brief slogan..."Air UK our name is our service", immediately picked up and pronounced as Air Yuk our name is our service.

When they re-branded as KLM UK they were then known as KL MUK,  maybe that's why they gave up and became a part of KLM Cityhopper

Landor Hope and Glory  you crack me up, Garry - you really do!

PanAm advertised themselves as 'The World's Most Experienced Airline'. I remember an incident at Heathrow where a PanAm aircraft had dropped a set of gear in the mud and a BA captain, taxing past, announced: 'Ladies and Gentlemen, if you look out of the right hand windows you will see the World's most experienced airline having another experience.'

Ian :)
