I knew straight away but was not concerned about it's presences...only your comment about shine not being popular here when it is

I only mentioned it as they might think it was for Ricks which is the one supported here so I was on a little leg pulling while pointing out this was Jen's as naturally most seeing the Viking here means only one thing to them and I thought they were falling for it

Perhaps though if you did show others just mention it's Jen's in the initial post to save confusion

I think what threw you was when you posted about making the BEA Whirlwind more shiny metal but it was pointed out in real life it was painted a silver fox and the colour on the paint was correct as it was

We aren't against the shines, just saying in that case there wasn't any.

Same thing happened when someone wanted to improve the metal texture on my Silver City Superfreighter not realising they were painted overall silver grey and not very shiny at that....again just like the paint...it wasn't supposed to be an overall metal texture.

Another 50's BEA livery aircraft that did not have a bare metal bottom was the Comet 3B, again the silver fox paint was used.

Some were just shiny while others were mirror polished

Comet G-APMB and Trident G-ARPC in Red Square were the only members of their fleet to have the bottoms mirror polished like Queen's flight. This was for Farnborough. The others were just polished and although very shiny, the shine was nowhere near the finish of the show examples. After a while, in fact a very short time, the metal took on a dull milky appearance.

Vanguard G-APEA in BEA Pinstripe was light grey and Viscount G-AORD was duck egg blue.

Anyhow shiny bottoms are done where appropriate to match actual finish

Going back a bit.. there was a time when metallic shine was gross.. like looking through 2ft of ice.. not a good look as my daughter tells me Thank goodness painters have found a way around this problem

According to the photos I took, yes, the windows had a blue (ish) colour...what colour should they be then !?
