You sure the Asus 560Ti is a 3 slot Chris?? I've got one and I'm sure it's only 2 *-) There are variations on the card though.. the one Ben has may be a 3 slot but it's not Asus. :)

Hi Chaps,

If its purely for FS, there isn't much (any?) mileage in going down the SLi route as the tech for FSX / FS9 is old hat. I think there may be some slot 2s and some slot 3's. Scan have a really good deal on a new Ivy Bridge stuff

Hi Ben..

The 448core are 3 slot, I think all the others are 2.. not that it matters unless you want more than one

The Asus 560 Ti (not 448 core) are 2 and a bit slots, but the main reason i went SLi is for BF3... :hide:

I didn't realise my Ti was 2 and a bit slots.. it only looks like 2 :) Ah yes.. BF3. The only things compatible on my system are the Ti, my keyboard and mouse

Yeah that even put me off their non 448 cores as they were over 2 slots, i didnt have slots in my case to take 2x of them and my sound card. So i got the 2GB versions instead which seem to handle BF3 better than the 1GB versions... My 2 old 8800 GTS' woundnt even entertain BF3!

Ah yes.. I remember you getting the 2Gb versions now. Let's put it this way, any system that can handle BF3 isn't a bad 'un

I'm still thinking of going for the Chillblast system, but think will wait until next week as might pay a visit to the Flightsim show in Weston-Super-Mare on Sunday to see if I really want to invest in a new machine. Probably will, but just being a bit cautious. If I don't will use the money for a few hours flying, but then a PC is going to last longer than about 8 hours!

Decisions, decisions.......

Best wishes,

Martin

I know its been a long time....but today finally ordered my Fusion Hurricane from Chillblast. I know I could have ordered it earlier, but been catching up on my real world flying and only now have decided to go for it.

As my old sim PC is now defunct and lying in bits in my study and what with a new project currently going for pre-beta testing, I just had to take the plunge. Already have my Horizon VFR scenery and Isles of Scilly here, so now its just a matter of waiting. Orbx looks very tempting, as believe they are going to develop the scenery for England too?

Best wishes,

Martin
