A beach village in Little Aden in what was Aden, now South Yemen, used as a lido.

As far as I know it still has the same name, I got lumbered for the check point duty on the road from our residences to that village.

airboatr, many thanks for these, I never actually got to Bi'r Fuqum but the these videos bring back lots of memories, there is a pic of a RAF Dakota in Habilayn, the last one in front line service reg KN452 I flew into Habilayn on that one 3 hours after our arrival in Khormaksar on a VC10 which was state of the art then.

Must spend some time going through those to see if my short staring role for BBC news is there somewhere.

Meanwhile if this works some real pics in upcountry ADEN, Dhala and Habilayn included.
