It must have been a slow news day! While news here often include whacky stories at the end of the newscasts, they usually don't last over 3 minutes, especially when there are only 20 minutes of news and 10 minutes of commercials.

It's a serious matter actually, While the patrol officer is allowed to use the car for some personal use, there are restrictions. Reason being is when they are in the cruiser they are technically on duty and must be prepared to fullfill the duties of an officer.
Now imagine if something like
this happened around the corner and she showed up with a bed mattress on the roof of her police car. Oh and the next one shows up to the scene with some patio furiture. On the other a grenade launcher would probably be acceptable. ..initially.
