There are always exeptions to the rules.

The information re signs and symptoms is based upon millions of heart attacks over decades. Certainly everyone I know who has manifested such symptoms has recieved first class treatment and investigation irrespective of the outcome.

It would be a shame for the meaning and good intent of Aispeeds original post to be lost when it really does raise awareness of the most common symptoms.

Coincidentally I've just got home after delivering another BHF Heartstart course this evening to a group of local Coastwatch volunteers. Hopefully another 20 folk aware and with knowledge of what to do if presented with the situation.

The point I'm trying to make is push if you are not being taken too seriously...it's not worth the risk :worried:

Good point Garry,
Sorry to hear you had such a hard time. We also have had numerous mis-diagnoses. My wife had severe pain for months. They reluctantly opened her up, and found ovarian cysts, requiring complete removal of one ovary. At the time, she was a teenager.
If you KNOW it's more than the doctors are telling you, make some noise. You've got one life, and unfortunately, you are the one who has to fight to preserve it.
