When i had my old machine XP the drives were A and C never a problem, now i have a small drive C 64GB of which 14GB are the recovery files that were put onto three disks. so now i have 14GB wasted space full of files that i never need and unable to remove ( I think ). if i could it would open up more space and possibly help with this problem.
I now see that the newer computer to this one i have the manufactures have fitted a 125GB SSD replacing the 64GB SSD. wonder why. i tried to contact flightsim store australia again via there link in their e-mail they sent and low and behold it's not recognised. i don't have a good feeling for the outcome of this.

I have a new 1TB C drive with this
I also moved my 1TB back up and the two 8GB, one with FS.X and one with FS.9 onto the new computer. FS.X and FS.9 were reloaded but the back up disk contained all my filed backed up so it's all there to pull the stuff into
I've not got SSD
The chap is coming again tonight to try and get the virtual XP set up running and behaving as if W7 is nit there, being left as an alternate
If he can't then W7 is coming off and then perhaps I can get something set up and start doing things again.

ok it's in. had to remove all my microsoft office suite and crossed fingers that the 9. odd GB available in drive C would do it. now to read up on what to do with it and how to fine tune fsx.
