I keep getting logged out

That's odd Rich.. it should be 'http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb/'.. this is what I'm seeing in the address bar on IE8 I'm currently using 2 pc's to access.. one up in the Midlands and this one here. The one up in the Midlands kept going throughout.. with this one, I got the 404 error yesterday. Both are WinXP SP3
I tried changing the address on my desktop but that didn't work (I think I'd missed the /cbfs_bb/.. it was cb_bb on the old server) so.. I went to the homepage, navigated to the forum then saved the new location in favorites. I got the usual 'this link already exists, do you want to overwrite' message and I said yes. I deleted the old desktop icon and dragged the new one from favorites. It's working fine.

Hi Dave, odd or not it works, I have the forum as my home page with http://www.cbfsim.org/cbfs_bb/ as the address I am logged on when it opens ??????

It may be that as you've changed the /cbfs_bb/ part.. the 'redirect' is getting you here without spitting you out. Still, were that to be the case, I'd have thought your address line would also show .co.uk. Have you tried .co.uk/cbfs_bb/.. I can't remember now I'll try .org/cbfs_bb/ and see what happens

EDIT: OK.. I can get in with .org/cbfs_bb/ but there are loads of icons missing.. edit/delete e t c. I tried 'Post Reply' and it took me to a login page. It wouldn't accept my login details. What does this prove.. I don't really know I'm back again on .co.uk and all is normal

That is what I had.

But I've changed to .co.uk and it's fixed for me. Didn't help I suppose that when I typed CBFS into google to check it gave .org as the address and I hadn't changed the bookmark on my iphone but that worked it automatically changed it from org to .co.uk.

I kept getting the 404 return yesterday & today when using my favorites to log on.
Somehow I managed to get to the Home page & then clicked onto one of the forum headings on the RHS & then found the Virtual spanner.
Hopefully now sorted by re saving the favorites & overwriting the old .org address.
Question is how do you publicise this change/problem if the re-direct is not working as in my case?
I am using IE9 on W7 32 bit.

If you are going in direct to the forum, you need to have the link as...
http://www.cbfsim.co.uk/cbfs_bb

I think this is why it's always recommended to go in to the forum via the front page, rather than go direct to the forum. (ain't no law against it )
Front page being simply http://www.cbfsim.co.uk
