Myles..
I detect an element of intolerance which is unfounded. When a problem arises on a model which has been released some years past with no prior report, one has to be as thorough as one can to try and resolve the issue. I really DON'T take the 748 any higher than 9000ft in day to day flying and it was a long time ago that this model was being developed. I don't have instant recall I'm afraid
Toni (tks Myles for that).. do you not see the black panel directly above the pressure panel (but which is part of it) shown in this screenshot?
Turn the control knob on the right hand side (Cabin Alt) to 8000ft and the system will stabilize

Hi,
No, not intolerance - just a bit of cringing
I'll leave this thread now to those who know what they're talking about regarding the HS748.
I hope that's sorted Toni out now.
Have to take the 748 out myself and stop neglecting it!
Best,
Myles

Well I hope it does.. happy customers come back for more models

I realised that Saludos was a 'farewell' later but went with the flow. Often, when members join, you can get a good idea of their name from the email address but Toni's is not one I'm afraid.
Toni.. I've just read through one of your posts again and see you mentioned the spill valves (they move up or down and return to centre don't they). I
did use those too and forgot to mention it. The cabin alt didn't take too long to return to 8000ft once I'd taken charge of it

Oh, I fell into tht trap also. I had a feeling it was not his name but also acted like a sheep. Well, I did say my Spanish was not as good as Toni's English. Anyway, apologies to Toni for calling him "Saludos", Still, I bet that was good for a laugh from him.

For what it's worth, I fly this plane in FSX and when I hit the simicon for the pressure controller, I don't actually get the black gauge part with the knobs. I have to go to the view menu and select it from the instrument panel submenu. It is the last item in the list I think. Maybe the OP is having the same issue. Hitting the simicon just brings up the panel with the valve controls and the auto/manual switch.

Hi H821
You make a valid point there which stirs a vague memory back in the mists of time. I don't have the 748 in FSX so I see that panel as it should be in FS9.
EDIT: I've emailed Toni and asked him to try this;-)

Thanks Dave for your e-mail.
As you say in FSX the top part of the pressure panel does not appear normally.
By selecting views/instruments panel/pressure controller from the menu, this part of the pressure system comes up when selected.
And of course works properly and I can control the pressure... and I can fly without thinking on the oxygen at hand!!...and etc. etc. So everything is (has always been) working correctly.
Thank you all for your patience with me
Saludos,
Toni

Hi Toni
Glad to hear you're sorted

I'm not a big fan of putting non-generic aircraft into FSX although had H821 not shot up with that reminder, I would have gone down that route to see what you were seeing. Fortunately, the screenshot did the business and one of the troops saw the problem. A picture tells a thousand words
Any other issues, you know where we are

Fantastic.
I've been tearing my hair out, installing and removing the Budgie, trying to see if I needed to assign the textures in the .cfg file until it dawned on me I might find the answer in here. Thanks guys, the simplest fix ever and also explains why some other aircraft were missing textures.
