Fog was also an important factor in this accident 10 years ago at Milan Linate. Failures in the airport administration and ground traffic procedures were eventually held to be the cause.

Fog like that is common here during the winter, though it was beautifully clear when I flew into Linate last night. I was sat at the back of an A320 not the front of course.
