Classic British Flight Sim

It wasn't until a year or so ago that I got my first phone...that wasn't attached to a wall. One afternoon my truck broke down on me so I walked to a shop and asked to use their pay phone. They looked at me like I was the village idiot. A female shopper then told me I could use her phone. Very embarrassing. I've had one of these wireless phone thingies ever since.

Twitter and Facebook - no way. Too much information can leak into the public domain. I've interviewed people for jobs having previously checked out their Facebook pages - don't they realise people do that? The discrepancies between CVs and Facebook were interesting although not enough to prevent their applications moving forward.

I did tell them about my searches - inevitably the Facebook page public information was tightened up afterwards.

And of course this was the ultimate in Twitter stupidity - at least it raised awareness in a striking way.

All we are doing (in the UK anyway) is encourage our kids not to think (IMHO) We have become a nation of "thing owners" I laughed recently at an article on BBC telling how 2D cameras on phones could be used for gesture recognition while driving. No I don't know about the rest of you, but while driving, the only thing I have free is my voice, and my old Sony Ericsson from 5 years ago could handle voice commands. Can you imgine driving allong, franticly trying to gesture at the camera on your phone. Infinately more dangerious than picking the bl00dy thing up and pressing the buttons. We are increasingly being surrounded by interactive technology that stops us interacting with real things. Removing the need to touch is not always a good thing IMHO.

Trying to type a message on here from an iPhone is painful, as soon as I get to the edge of the screen and it has to scroll it goes very slowly. Ok when back to the left no other site does it.

Although less illegal than picking it up and pressing buttons which may be why it's being looked at.

lol Definately mate, but I think voice dialing is the way to go in the car and thats already been done.
