This Mirage is Mark's but after Skysim's (eh, um) problems, he is now developing and improving the model and is releasing all his (re-worked and new) models himself. There have been some posts on SOH about these.

He's also said recently that the HMS Eagle project (which was first started when he was still working alongside Alphasim) is far from dead, it would be lovely to see that one finally come to fruition; with the Flying Stations Buccaneer S1 on the horizon, and the Gannets appearing over at The Pond, the Royal Navy is looking increasingly well served in FSX.

Guess I have been far too busy. The Mirage is being re-worked and will be a new product split into various packages. Pricing is not decided yet but each set will have a lower purchase price than the original. I have not been around here much because of various reasons - not least that when I did decide to visit the shortcut no longer worked. Please if you change domains etc can you do a re-director? I only found this place again by doing a search.
Some people here know me some do not - and I have been fortunate enough to meet Dave on a few occasions at Duxford along with Rick. Enjoyable days but they may have a different point of view due to my rabbiting when I have had a pint or 2.
HMS Eagle is far from dead in the water but some assistance would be helpful in certain respects regarding the project - namely setting up just a simple AFCAD or whatever to enable aircraft to find it. Also anybody that has experience with moving carriers would also be welcome.
On the original point - if you have a legal copy of the Skysim Mirage but have trashed it then let me know and I can send a link to the original files and also generate a key for re-install if required.
It will not be offered for sale under the "www.ALS-SIM.com" banner because i am re-working the models and hopefully vastly improve them. Nor will it ever appear as freeware for various reasons and also it would be un-fair on original purchasers - likewise special sales or "one week only" discounts. That really *isses me off when I find out that I have purchased something and the next day it is half price for a week.
Lots of stuff in the pipe and some of my older stuff that has never been release might just get bumped out as freeware or a started project for someone to clear some space both in my head and on my disks.
If anybody has problems regarding my stuff you can email me from here or from the ALS forum but I do not support any of the stuff I have done for other publishers/debtors that still make the stuff available but fail to forward on certain agreed stuff.
If you are an original purchaser of the Mirage but need the files again I can make them available and also hold your hand if you have a problem re-installing them but I will not be doing any updates for those products. If you want it but have not purchased it then wait for the new stuff.
Now where is me Vodka.
B.T.W. Dave or Rick if you plan to go to Duxford again let me know - I will be next to the Burger van and Bar after another 1000 photos of the Victor ;)

Hi Mark,

Good to see you again. We did have a redirect on for 3 months, after that we are the top result in a Bing or Google search for Classic British Flight Sim. There will be changes afoot oer the next few months too, so as I always say, best enter through the home page www.cbfsim.org and you'll be kept up to date with the changes. Still looking forward to seeing Eagle. I'd offer to give you a hand with the AI version but I haven't had the sim on in months now as Tiny Toes crawling all over the place always seems to get in the way of flight sim time.

All the best

Ben.
