Well you need to use ImageTool really...But that might be a bit complicated. Which Hunter are you flying? Perhaps I can upload the relevant textures for you to download :)

Thanks for the input Peter

I've never got on with mip-maps, & find aircraft textures are better without them. I guess it's just one of those things

OK...just give me the name of one of them and I will upload a zip file of the new versions of the relevant DXT1 textures for you to download...Then we can establish that it fixes it for you and I will make an upload for the whole package :)

Dave,

The rule only applies to DXT1 textures...They should always have mipmaps in FS9. Otherwise SOME but NOT all people will get blurring of the surrounding ground textures. There is no need to have mipmaps with DXT3 or other textures. Your Hunters had this effect on my machine, even the AI versions. However, the moment I gave all the DXT1 files mipmaps there was no more blurring...I can even have nine of the T model AI versions that I made, parked in a line and all in view with no blurring of the them or the scenery around them...And of course, all twelve of 208 Squadron's FGA9s as my YouTube videos clearly show :)
