Thanks very much for all of the tips, fellas.
I downloaded the scenery again to see if I missed something in the installation process. Everything was installed per the instructions. The installation contained a BGL file which supposedly corrects the alt issue...here's what the instructions say "...move the file AP916190.bgl contained in the folder to your "FS2004"\Scenery\Namw\Scenery folder. This adjusts the AI altitude in the scenery so that it does not sink." Hmm.
This got to me to wondering if maybe the BGL was the cause of the problem and not a solution. I reverted back to using the default BGL...low and behold it's fixed.

The airport has only one level and from what I can see there's no alt difference in the scenery itself using the default BGL.
Dave is correct. My camera is not very posh but it is pretty small...I like to travel light.
