Indeed Dave

...they are linked on the ground so you may get perhaps....60 degrees instead of, maybe 30 in the air...just example figures..not intended to be the 1-11's
Just a thought

Hmmm, I guess landings in crosswinds will never be perfect then

It might just be a visual thing??
It might not be set up that way though.........I don't have FS at the moment so I can't check

Yo!
I've just had a look at this in FS9 and I see the same rudder deflection be it in the air or on the ground

Not that it should matter Ant but are you using the One-Eleven in FS9 or FSX??

How can you survive?
I actually never experienced this and I'm not sure at all but just as sort of an idea:
any changes done to the hydraulics?
Best,
Nick

It is FSX.
The Trident however, works a treat. Great crosswind landings.

I think the Trident had to have special animation for the nosewheel as the nosegear is off centre.
The standard animations for steering only work on the centreline of the aircraft.
The Trident is not a standard set up but quite what if any difference this makes here I don't know...but I doubt if the it can be used in a direct comparison for that reason alone.
Maybe take a look at the Comet

It's not necessarily animation, there is a big difference in what the rudder will do when landing.

I realise that Ant
But I'm saying the nosewheel might be linked to the rudder on the One -Eleven but not on the Trident...hence the comment on them not being directly comparable...........animation wise at least.
The Comet is more likely to be set up in a similar fashion to the One-Eleven...............there might be some sort of override happening on the ground itf the functions are linked, cutting out the rudder.
