I've seen this with some aircraft, notably those with CFS2 vintage mdl files - the freeware Stirlling being my only current example. I've put it down to memory issues as when flying the Stirling the black screen always comes up after a while, with a longer flying time if the aircraft is the first one loaded after a PC reboot. The problem shows immediately if I save a flight with the Stirling and try and reopen it - total failure due to black screen.

It will be interesting if anyone with 3-4 GB of memory can replicate this. My PC runs XP pro with 1.5GB memory.

If someone could revise the mdl for the Stirling to avoid this they would make me very happy....
