HI Neil

There ya go

If you go to poly mode and select the polys on the end of the tube...then F2 and change the smoothing group to 0 if flat or 2 if it has shape and that will fix the balloon look it has at present :)

Hi Neil can you post the texture here ?

May not be in right BMP format

try unassigning it then start again

I have spent hours trying to assign a 512 x 511 texture more than once or a 32 bit bmp

or you still have points selected in the part (it won't texture if any points are still selected) bet it's this one

I don't merge anything and never have (join part ?)

Hi Neil

Now you need to go to Edit, Unslect all

then open in point mode and do the same

you don't want anything selected when you apply the texture

you just want to have the part you want to texture as the current part (but not with any part of it selected as such

you must be in Part mode when you texture
it won't texture in point or poly mode

I am running out of PMs so best keep messages in here mate as i have 200 PM s now ;) (not all from you mate)

Rick
