I came across a link on Cal Classics to another forum and reading it makes me wonder if it has something to do with this question *-)

Interesting thread Garry, but then it got all a bit technical!!

Just to re-cap on that problem, I did have the inter-engine cocks on and the outer booster pumps off as well as the pud switches select on, after switching off the auto-pilot to resume manual to try and regain control I did very briefly achieve level flight for a couple of seconds but that was only down to using full right rudder!! Other than that, I can offer no further explanation!! *-)

Nigel.

Hi Nigel..

Yep.. that would have been a consequence of a full out of trim situation. I'm sure that 99.99999% of us only ever use elevator trim so always expect rudder trim to be where we left it.. centred :) I mentioned the inter-engine cocks and boosters by way of pointing out it was unlikely to be a fuel imbalance purely because of the way we have to fly in FSA. OK.. you could have fuel loaded into both sides and had all the booster pumps on one side shut with crossfeed open so it's not impossible to get out of trim with fuel but that is highly unlikely. FS and it's sometimes unpredictable weather engine remains the main candidate as far as I'm concerned ;)
