indeed, this is not an area for it, this sort of question would should have been posted over at UKMIL. Since it is there, I will answer it. No the ban is not uplifted, but the ban is only for UKMIL, and I am allowed to release my OWN work under my OWN name and not UKMIL, as the IRIS one will be. It will be hosted by UKMIL on the site as their is NO ban on UKMIL hosting Guests repaints. Simple. UKMIL are NOT releasing the paint on thre IRIS, I am

At the end of the day, I have some perks for being in the mob, and have talked exclusivly to Tom. He has seen the repaints already, and is happy with them, and they will be used as Promo shots from Jan until the real aircraft is painted. I am not going to argue, you will release a BETTER IRIS one, as you will, since I know you spent months making a detailed paintkit, but this is the official version, end of :OT:

Thanks for clearing that up DC. I'd already started posting but wanted to ensure that Jason32 was the same Jason who's name is already on many of the paints available for the freeware Hawk.. either on his own or co-listed with UKMIL. He is of course one and the same ;)

I'm not really sure how anyone can be banned from painting a freeware model in the first place but there you go. The version I have is packaged Alphasim anyway! :)

Sorry you were offended Jason but the on-going UKMIL/IRIS-DSB debacle is like a red rag to a bull I'm afraid. Each side is fully aware of where they stand and that should be the end of it.. however petty IT is. I will delete your account as requested if this is what you wish.

Hi Guys

I will not ban anyone from painting my stuff ;)

Looking forward to this repaint as it looks pretty cool from the bit you showed.

Just hope it doesn't have the huge roundel underneath as i mapped the underside a little badly as the decision to be Red Arrows only halted the need for 100% underside alignment :$

Regards
Rick :xgrin:

Rick, never fear, it does not have a roundal and your mapping ALMOST worked, there is a slight missmatch on the wings, where the flaps and aileron meet the wing, but it is livable

Hi mate

thats my biggest problem with FSDS model's (and you can't do skin & bone animations) but i don't need those

you can't use Lithunwrap so everything is done manually

I only needed the Red's livery in the end so stopped mapping when that fitted

also made sure cammo fitted though but the huge roundel came out just after i sent model for final

if it had existed at an earlir stage i would have spent more time on that problem

Regards
Rick

its no problem, just there are slight mis-alignments where they meet the wing, but not enough to spend messing with the repaint to line them up
