Hello all! :hello:

I love particularly the Bristol Sycamore, which I downloaded from the library with other great 'flying objects'.
In the time I've made a few repaints of this heli and thought that I could share this with you!
I don't really know if I can make them available for download, as I did'nt find any explicit interdiction/ approbation.
Here's a list of them :
Royal Australian Navy
Central Flying School
German Navy
German Navy SAR (2 versions, one in work)
German Air Force (the same as above)
Belgian Air Force (2 Versions)

I now have FSX, and I'm re-working my FS9 textures for FSX.
Here, some pictures to let you appreciate (or not!)

I also made a custom VC for the german version (bump map is not corrected...)

...And a custom 2D panel, which is also far from perfect...

Is anyone interested in the repaints? Does anyone want to help me for the 2D Panel?

Cheers,
Barth

Hi Barth :)

The Sycamore is a smashing helicopter isn't it ;) I don't think Rick has any problems with repaints of his models as long as the correct credits are given. As far as the Sycamore is concerned, I don't think it was ever put on 'World Wide' release.. only here and as 'work in progress'. Of course, anyone who visits here can download it :)

I'm sure the repaints would go down well with those nationalities so you go ahead and upload them. This does NOT apply to the model itself though. If you wish to upload that, you'll have to seek permission from Rick himself ;)

Very nice

Rick is usually a textures only...with credit of course, but not models usually

Hello,
The VC is also a "textures-only" modification, so that the Gauges looks like the real german version (thank the few photos that I found on the web, plus I have a little 'go around' of the model exposed in the Bückeburg museum)
I'll let you know how far I am with the repaints, and if someone wants to test it for FS9, you are welcome :) I also can plane any version you would like to have (RAF?)
And yes, this Sycamore is a really enjoyable helicopter!

Very nice Barth. I also fly Rick's Sycamore regularly, and would appreciate your repaints.

Dennis.

I'll give the FS9 one's a whirl (if you'll pardon the pun), as 'X' doesn't run on my machine.

Hi
...When God itself says that repaints are fine, then I'm reassured

May I ask you to test the repaints in FS9, as I don't have it installed? That would be great, because there are some differences between the two versions (size, alpha layer...)

Thank you all for your interest!
