No point mate, its be available for FSX for a good while now and (arguably) better in the newer sim.

Ahh, beautiful stuff there, Peter. So nice to see quality add-ons still appearing for FS9. Will duly download this week hopefully. Love those Hunter shots especially.

Hi Tony :hello:

I couldn't say for sure but if REX for FS9 is anything like REPro, it's freeware forebare, you get an interface to switch on or off the elements you wish to see. The beauty of the free version is that you might, like me, only wish to use the water textures. Were this the case with the payware version.. it'd be a bit excessive me thinks ;)

Hi Dave :hello:

Regarding the freeware REPro, I was wondering how easy it is to uninstall it, or reverse selections if you don't like what you see. Does the programme save your originals somewhere? For example - I am using Aquarama for my water textures but would like to see what REPeo's water textures are like and would want to switch back if I don't like what I see.

Thanks for any help!

Nigel,

It saves the defaults OR whatever you have installed at the time and then will put them back at a click of a button...So I let it save all that I had installed from various sources and then I can go back to that starting point any time I like and then when I let REX do the next change I can untick any particular item that I do not want it to change. The program has a very versatile GUI...The best I've seen for this sort of thing.

EDIT...Sorry! Ignore all that Nigel...I'm talking about the Payware REX for FS9 here :$

Hi Nigel..

Yes.. REPro should do that as like the payware version, it backs up the files it finds in situ at the time of install. I actually had Aquarama installed but liked the look of Peters water textures some time back and found they were from REPro so I installed it for that alone. There is a button on the GUI to restore originals though I've not tried it yet. ;)

Thanks Dave and Peter! I finally tracked down the freeware version and will give it a whirl. Avsim listed it but it was an "Oops - file not found" deal so I found it elsewhere (http://www.flightsimworld.com/downloads ... /1375.html) in case anyone is interested.

Late aws usual replying to any post but today I purchased REX for FS9 and am extremely happy with it, so much so I seem to be playing around with different settings more than actual flying. Still, once the novelty wears off I am sure I will get down to some serious flying soon....I hope!! :worried:

Nigel.
