Looks like FSX won't allow wingfold with helicopters.

I swapped out the aircraft.cfg & .air file for an aircraft one, after copying the contact points & wingfold sections into the new file. Wingfold now works, but obviously it now flies like an aircraft, not a heli

Originally, I tried changing the category section from helicopter to aircraft , but then it wouldn't appear in the menu :wall:

Thanks everyone for your input & possible solutuions.

Looks like with all the knowledge & experience available on this forum this problem is not meant to be solved .

Maybe an FSX Wessex version will become available one day, so until that time I will continue to enjoy flying the FS9 version in FSX, just means I won't be able to secure it on the Hangar Deck.

Thanks & regards,
Baz

Hi D,

Does that fine in FS9, just doesn't (can't) do it in FSX.

I have it in FSX. It's one of the helos that we often use in the VFR Flyers group, and I've never had a problem with rotor and tail fold. The wipers work also.

I have installed the DoorControl programme, but I can also use Tailhook and Wingfold via my joystick buttons.

One problem that we did have, was with the Autohover, but we solved that one between us.

The first shot shows the DoorControl panel in the bottom R corner. The others show the Autohover panel set to 50ft, and the Wessex hovering at 50ft over the sea.

I'm on FSX with GenX scenery. The shots were taken at Culdrose RN by UK2000 scenery.

If I can be of any further help, just ask.

Dennis.
