I speak to you for the first time from my ASUS P5Q Deluxe/E8400.. the rebirth of which was rather less of a chore than I expected. With the manual being the equivallent in size to a slightly smaller version of a SrewFix catalogue and all in English, I'd reached the CBA stage pretty soon on (as one would expect)

Anyway.. while all this burble might seem off topic.. I was surprised to find during one of the many 'new hardware found' moments that the system had suggested a Win7 driver for me to load. Now then.. if Win7 came already installed on a motherboard, I'd be as happy as a sand boy but as this doesn't yet happen.. I'm a little miffed. Whatever it is still sits with an exclam (or worse) next to it
Anyway.. that's the only 'toe dip' into the latest version I'm planning in the near future

Amazon are a little tardy in letting you know:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Microsoft-Windo ... 343&sr=8-5
And Win7 will network with previous Windows versions. It's just easier if they are all using Win7 since there is a "Home Group" that can be set up with the same code. I don't know about that yet since I only have one PC on Win7 RC1 which talks to XP PCs.

Thanks, Ian. Amazon never did send an email to let me know that it was available

, but I checked just after I posted and found it. At a discount, too! So I await the Postman's pleasure ...
Fortunately there's no urgency
