I was just thinking of how different the Viscount must have looked with it's clean lines and pencil thin nacelles.
It must be shocking now to look back at all that fading history and think of the times when it was just another Spitfire or a common or garden Wellington.
I think of when I grew up in the sixties and the tail draggers pistons and variety of British types and they seemed so normal and the thought was that they would always be there especially the new types like the VC 10, Trident and One-Eleven
