Strange....it does not show up in Start/Programs etc.....FSX itself does OK but ne extensions for the SDK there either...
The only entry is in the Add/Remove section in Control Panel.
Gets worse don't it... :-(

Here's a screenie of my setup and you can clearly see the help file (fsxsdk.chm) at the bottom of the list in the SDK root folder. Double click on the .chm file to open it.

Quick question, FSX Gold, do you install Acceleration separately or is it all done in a oner?
If the former I'm just wondering if it might be worth downloading the service packs for the SDK as they may not be included with Gold, if the latter they probably are anyway and I'll go back to nodding gently to myself.

The install was FSX Gold FOLLOWED by Acceleration.....updates maybe needed then?

Just looked at the date on the SDK.exe on Disc 1
September 2006.....!!!!!!!!
Sounds like they repackaged some old kit methinks.... :brick:

That looks like the original RTM SDK :think: Note the HTML file. The original SDK files were in HTML format.
I'd recommend downloading the latest SDK updates.

Currently downloading FSX SDK SP1A (160meg)
Not getting FSX SP1 after M$ Told me NOT to install that one as I have Acceleration Pack installed
See how it goes in 15 mins...

Although you didn't need SP1 applied to the game before updaing to SP2, You will need each of the SDK updates applied in turn... (so from memory thats RTM, SP1a and SP2)
