Crikey...! Odd? I think you need to suss out your mobo and system specs..

I use http://www.cpuid.com/pcwizard.php which I find works perfectly and saves time.

Accuming you have Nvidia chips, and Nvidia drivers, their should be RAID and SATA drivers in their....?

I really think something has come back to bite my arse Jim.... :o

I remember when i tried a MoBo change i got Asus intel drivers.....but i think i may have screwed things up quite badly....maybe thats why my top end system is behaving so crap...?????

Ok here is my problem...I think.....It seems i have loaded totally the wrong drivers on my motherboard and was wondering how i can correct this....

I think i am running with intel mobo drivers and i think i should have Nforce drivers on there...maybe thats why i cannot use my USB headsets because the onboard HD sound is faulty and i get the annoying BSD every now and again.....is there a way to change all these drivers to the correct ones...? and anyone know which ones i SHOULD be using...?

Chris i don't think its an Nforce MoBo...the manual keeps mentioning Crossfire...thats ATI isn't it mate...?

For details of your board see http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/493/1 I don't think it uses nForce drivers and it does not support sli or crossfire. The JMicron drivers support the JMicron chip for e-SATA and the single p-ATA port (external SATA drives and internal parallel ATA port).

This looks like the fact that you have intel drivers is correct but where on earth of the nForce drivers come from?

The best bet is to download the latest drivers for the board from the Asus website and install those.

Dunno Chris.....it was on the Vista update and installed automatically mate...????

Will check ASUS for the latest bits and pieces...

How do i find and delete those Nforce Drivers..?

Tony, thats an intel chipset Motherboard, stay away from the Nforce stuff. I'm wondering if you've donloaded the Nforce driver instead of the new graphics driver we were talking about recently?

Tony, the nForce drivers should be in the list of programmes installed on the PC (accessible through the Control Panel). From there you will have the option to uninstall. Before you do so though download the most up-to-date drivers from Asus and have them ready to go on your HDD then when prompted for new drivers (if this happens) when you restart your PC then cancel the auto driver install process and run the programmes provided by Asus (I'm assuming you have XP - it is different under Vista but I haven't had to go through that process but I suspect Ben knows!).

Tony... uninstall all your NVidia stuff. Install the latest drivers from the NVidia website. reboot. that should work. Then reinstall your NVidia GRAPHICS driver from www.nvidia.co.uk
