know what.. sometimes if the temps where right , both ambient and exhaust
the tips on the end of the flex would appear to be moving . almost like the
tube was so hot it was right about molten ...... the heat wave creating an illusion....

or was it the drink'n :drinkers:

yet the intake tubes .. frost covered... :o

I have never forgotten being in a car at night on I think the A30 at Heathrow's perimeter, when a Stratocruiser took off and passed right over us with the exhaust collectors streaming those ghostly blue flames . The sight has stayed with me through about 55 years , and has always rather surprised me in retrospect , since the blue seems a little weak for full or near full power

Peter I looked at the site , nice videos too, didn't see the FS models though , what plane is that VC in you posted there of?

No...I meant the General Aviation future in real life...That stuff is so new that I doubt if it is actually in anything real yet, let alone FS. The shot I posted is not from a FS VC...It is a mock up shot used in their advert in the AOPA PILOT magazine for January 2009 :flying:

Going by the switch panel under the PFD I'd say it was a (or at least a mock-up of) an SR22.

That does look very nice but I'll always be a steam gauge man

Yes I like that one James...There was a crosswind at McLeland Field that day and QM2 has anchored pointing into the wind...That was something I contrived some years ago when I was building this place and I'm always rather delighted to see it happening. There are six points on the compass that the ship can anchor and she chooses the one that is closest into the wind at the time
