Dan -
I just tried it at an AES airport (now that I'm at home and got some sleep) and it appears that AES now bypasses the inbuilt pushback code, so the pushback tug doesn't appear. That is a relief as it means that my other aircraft won't have a conflict anymore.

I'm not totally sure either how it does it to be honest Dan, but it allows them to do some pretty complicated tracking, including properly modelling tow-in and tow-out procedures used at several European airports, something I've never seen done before. What's more is that the tugs do some pretty complex paths during pushbacks at some airports to ensure clearance from things like other gates and to ensure that your pushback position is on centerline of the ramp taxiway.
It's a pretty awesome piece of software and well worth the cost. Peter's fallen in love with it too.

Hi!
Dan, thanks for the HU! You obviously didn't see the screenies I posted some months ago!!
It is a nice plane to fly. It reminds me of my days of island hopping in these slow but hugely manageble aircraft.
Some statistics: of the 62 or so frames produced (ATP + J61) only 2 were lost. 1 by reasons unknown to me and the other in a tragic colision into a mountain that saw all people on board dead, including a colleague and friend!
Everytime I fly one of these now, it is in remembrance of him!
Soft landings!

Well, it simply came too late. By the time it was launched, the demands in that segment were perfectly covered by the ATR42 and the Dash8.
Nice model though. Sadly there's no VC, I'm sorry but I just can't get used to 2D-Flying anymore...
Cheers,
Nick

I am hoping to have a VC version released soon but working on the (F) conversion at the moment which should be out in a week or two.

I am under the impression that this release has - regrettably - not caused great interest. Only an Asian Spirit repaint has been done in addition to the handful of liveries - some of them fictional - included in the official BSMP release. I am really hoping that some of the liveries that have graced the European skies in the past will become available.
I spend some time today browsing ATP pictures. Below are links to pictures of some of the more unusual/forgotten ATP operators to keep you a bit entertained plus - in bold- the repaints which are available for the BSMP model:

Now that Im back on FS9, Im downloading it and looking forward to flying it. It looks very nice indeed, its about time the ATP got a good representation in flight simulator.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up that at flightsim.com two different Air Europe Express liveries for the ATP have been available for a couple of weeks now. Still no additional UK liveries, but better than nothing, I guess (the original release by BSMP has British Airways (Union) and British Midland liveries).
