I've never had a problem with CS as far as downloads are concerned but equally so, that's the first 'success' story I've ever heard of from Chris. As is often the case, bad news travels fast and is more difficult to shake off than any good news but when you pay this much for a product (that is.. as much as you pay for a CS product) you tend to expect it to be right first time and don't make a song and shout about it if this happens ;-)

It's the luck of the draw. Just hope you never find yourself on the wrong end :cpu:

Yes, I suppose thats true enough Dave. Its easier to gain a bad reputation than establish a good one, because nobody is surprised when everything works as it should, and so it doesn't get talked about. I have a feeling this B-52 will sell by the bucket-load over there in the rebellious colonies, and will doubtless cause quite a stir at places like Sim Outhouse. If there are any problems, they'll certainly get an airing there.

Jonesy and Chris Sykes are right about whether one has the time or patience to do such a complex model justice. A long time ago I read a thread where the discussion was how on earth you get the electrics to come on in the PMDG 747 ( or something like that ), and I daresay this B-52 will be equally demanding.

Thing is...it just looks so bloomin gorgeous. I will find it hard to resist, even if the only way I can get it off the ground is in slew mode.

Yep.. I agree with that. I'd love to have it.. there's something about the B52 that you just gotta have one  If CS send me enough reminders.. I may just crack (like MSN.. you can ignore the update reminder so many times then in a moment of weakness.. give in) The easy thing to do is not use MSN and likewise.. bin all the CS emails while they're still on the server and remain unread ;-)

There is one ray of hope for me though.. this model is FSX only which makes resistance a hell of a lot easier

If you were really concerned, you could perhaps wait until they released it to 3rd party vendors and buy from one you trust (probably slightly cheaper, too).

I've had very good and quick responses from SimMarket about potential problems with a Captain Sim product (B757 in that case), for example.

I've never had any problems with their support either, always a prompt, courteous and helpful reply. BUFF looks rather nice....

Im sure resistance is useless, especially as its a full FSX and looks so good... I know i have the CS C-130 which i use 50x more times than the freeware B-52 i used to have...
