You know, Graham, you are absolutely right, the gauges are required and I completely forgot to mention that! Dave G and co. gave me permission to use them but like a ninny I forgot to sort that out. I will re-zip the package tonight and add full credits for the gauges! Till then, you'll have to rely on the Mk. 1 Eyeball

Please read the Pilots Notes and Data.
Especially important for aerobatic pilots. The instantaneous application of full rudder at speed will dump you in big trouble, as a friend of mine found out. This was also a chartacteristic of the full size aircraft.
Be aware of the recommended real life minimum entry speeds for various aerobatic manoevres.
Good fortune to you all, safe landings.

This Mk.1 eyeball is almost 70 years old
No Problems Steve, I had the gauges in question so now have a full set of instruments.
Really enjoying the flights, and once again, many thanks

Really pleased to hear that, Graham. A big hats off to Hobby, in that case, as it was his persistence in working on the FDEs that made it fly like it does. And I have to say, it is pretty bang on the money when you compare it to the official Pilot's Notes.
There is one minor oversight on my part which I should mention - Hobby was originally working on the FDEs for the F.1, but I failed to remember that when I put the beta up. Therefore, it is 200lbs underpowered, but if you are finding this one fine to fly, you are OK. I will correct it in the zip download, but it's entirely up to you if you want to re-download it, edit the cfg yourself (bump up the thrust rating to 5,200lbs), or leave it as is.

Thanks a lot for posting the shots, Graham. What's interesting is that the textures do not display any of the shine in the alpha channels - most noticably in the canopy which looks quite dark. Are reflections/shine controlled by user settings within the sim, or is this a problem of the model? Anyone else not seeing the shine?

Probably my settings Steve, however, I will wait and see what anyone else comes up with.
Off to |-) now, busy day. Out most of the afternoon laying flowers and paying my deepest respects to my dear wife, on what would have been our 44th. wedding anniversary.

I'm seeing it...the canopy is the giveaway. I'm also seeing it on the surfaces a lot more here, in the series of thumbnails screens:

Must be a user-settings controlled issue then.
Graham, deepest regards to you on what must be a hard day.

Hi Steve
I'm seeing a little more shine on the non light side but not much
There are no settings for shine other than on and off
