Good choice on the Trojan. I've done a bit of R/C in the past and have seriously been considering getting back into it again. I've looked at the Parkzone birds and the Trojan is one that stands out to me. For now, however, I've had to satisfy myself with first the
E-sky simulator and now
RealFlight G4. I want to make sure I'm up to the challenge before putting several hundred dollars worth of airplane into the sky.

Hi,
I joined BMFA at the National Championships last weekend. At the moment it is £22 for the remainder of the year to 31st December but you get an £11 voucher towards next years membership - £28 this year so probably £29 next year I'm told. The good thing about the BMFA membership is that you get insurance cover £5m third party liability as well as personal injury to yourself if you have a mishap.
Learning curve is steep and I managed to stuff my WOT Trainer into the ground on friday afternoon so it's in the hangar for repairs at this time - I thought it looked terminal but the advice and encouragement I got from the chap in the shop who originally sold it to me has lifted my spirits and I'll be repairing it tomorrow. The shop also run one of the local clubs and has an airfield (grassed corner of a farmers field) available every day. They have also given me some basic tuition but I was flying solo on the occasion of the mishap :-( . It's all godd fun though and I'd wanted to get back into rc for some time since I stopped in the mid 70's. Interestingly I paid less for all my gear this time round than I did in the 70's !
This is what I've got :-
Regards
John
