Well, whatever, the An-225 still remains the largest AC flying in the world today, with a - something like - 89 metre wingspan, fuselage: 84 metres, against the A380's 80 metre span / 73 mtr length.

...can't see the 225 being topped.....

It was once suggested that the A380 might be the last of the 'wings on tubes' in favour of the 'BLENDED WING', which, having no windows would mean passengers would not be able to look outside! Bang goes that idea then...

BAC at Filton made a model of a possible future 'Blended wing' type in the 60's, a bit like the Vulcan. Anyone got any pics????

The question should not be

'Will it take off?'

but rather

Will it land?

surely 'ground effect' must be considerable, with such a large low mounted wing.
