It's a gret shame Kevin as that, given the enthuasm in the industry at the time could have be a base for a whole load of projects
Compared to what was around at the time it was tragedy to have it cancelled

Seem to remember hearing in the mid 60s "De Havilland buried their engines in wing roots, Boeing buried their engines in French fields" the V1000 was a handsome aircraft and would no doubt filled a niche for a long time.
