Not today, Dave, but the thought sounds appealing...

Dave, BTW, when are you going to give up the secret of the bearded cockpit shot? :prayer:

Cheers Garry.. and it's never been a secret Steve ;-)

Back-on-track (if I dare)..
I see the panel lines on the upper fuse as in Brian's shot Ben although the 'glove compartment' on the nose doesn't appear so well defined. Definately not touched up so it must be a trick (or otherwise) of FSX light ;-)

That is not secret, I know where the shot was taken       :-#

The Hawk looks supurb, I hope whoever takes the screenshots (I am 'sin' FSX so it will not be me) puts the aircraft close up and leaves ant FSX default scenery very much in the background....unless it is the photoreal VFR stuff. With all that shading so eveident, it makes the Hawk look like the most complex add-on yet, from the visual aspect anyway.

I trust the FS9 version (if it has not been binned) will see some light sometime after the release of this one?

Hi Paul

Yes that shot was "Overbumped" as i was just modifying the texture to take the Aden Cannon pod texture on the main fuselage template so i had to remake the bump map to incorperate the new section
and it was the first view of do the rivets show.

Sent the shot to Brian as it was just a nice shot with somje twinkle (I didn't know he was uploading it anywhere) ;-)

yes far overbumped and fixed immediately but i always start with a strong effect and work back or it will blur too much as you edit it back.

I will never keep anyone happy but at least i am making FSX SP2 native models unlike 90% of the authors who won't leave their comfort zone
even 18 months after FSX was relesed.

I'm fed up of ported FS9 models and people saying FSX is crap when all they tried was the first FSX demo almost 2 years ago.

the only thing that kept me in FS9 was the Flightzone Portland scenery which was outstanding and in my view still not bettered in FS9 or FSX

Regards
Rick

Don't forget Rick some of us are stuck because we can afford to upgrade so will be doing our best to make FS9 model work in FS.X

Hi Garry,

Don't think thats what Ricks getting at. The Freighter, like DM's stuff is an FS9 Model... simple as that and we have done are best to make it work as best we can in FSX, but its understood it FS9.

There are many (i.e. CaptainSIm 757) who are selling something as FSX which blatantly isn't... its not even a good atempt at making it work in FSX.

Fair enough Ben

It's difficult for me to try and make an FS.X version with not having the game an every effort is being made with your help and other do do so and although not meant here, there is a general feeling that those still in FS.9 are there because they are anti-FSX.

I just wanted to make that clear.

Apologies to Rick if I am misunderstanding his comment. :)
