I don't know whether they are still flying, as I think Tyrolean have either been taken over or ceased ops - certainly i have a recollection that something has happened to them

There's a similar stepped, sloping runway in the Himalayas at Lukla, Nepal, which I think we've discussed before. It's the dropping off point for Everest expeditions and onward travel to Base Camp is by helicopter. It's at 9,000 feet and in answer to your next question, no, I've never managed a successful landing! :roll: This is payware scenery by Aerosoft but in mitigation it was on special offer at the time :lol:
