Theres two sets of flight dynamics for learners and experts too
Pity they did not do this in real life, the R44 fills the hangers at the AAIB at Farnborough, well it did when I was there!! Sadly this ugly betty which looks like an upturned hovermower is a dangerous beast in unqulified hands, if a pilot with plenty of experience gets one and treats them right they are pretty good, however as they are "cheap" in the helicopter world, folk buy them and often crash them due to lack of experience. Take a look at the celebs that have found tera firma with mortal effect, I saw the wreck of the Motor Racing biker whilst there. Not pleasent viewing.
It has a problem in that you have less than a second to drop the collective if the engine cuts out, coughs, icies up. in fact missing that second or trying to push it to 1.25 seconds ends up with the blades striking the tail boom and the cockpit, which sounds impossible but I saw on the wrecks their that it does happen, reason being the blades have little or just about nil kinetic energy and fold like an origami project when the negative G setts in, this is then unrecoverable....
Like I say in experienced hands they are good but very unforgiving in lesser hands. The grim reaper has a notebook full of these!
If I was offered to fly in one... well I would decline and use it as areminder to cut my grass ;-) I think I was off topic for just about 98% of my post... hope no one spotted this!
btw Rick, if they treat a resepcted person in FS like that on their forum they should not deserve to sell one of the bloody things at all....

Hi Tony

the tech support guys had never heard of me mate.

but they are obviously not flight simmiers.

so i got the same "it's not my Job" att that everyone must get.

not a problem & saves me wasting any of my hard earned with them.
went to Flight1 instead where i get treated like a valued customer every time without fail.

Their loss is my gain (I was warned!)

Regards
Rick

Rick, I always had the impression that Justflight support was more like any support for a big company in that they employ one or a number of "support staff" who answer questions and queries and often give out the same canned responses. I've posted over there before and had posts go completely unanswered however I've never had any deleted. :-#

Hi Chris

My Goat was triggered initially when (my original post said sorry if this is in wrong section)

i was told that i should post my corrupted download message in the correct R44 support forum
which at the time i first posted had not yet been set up and was not in the drop down support list.

then when i asked to be refunded was told i had to e mail Martyn which i did but he didn't reply.

instead he posted on the forum that i needed to e mail so & so in sales etc at which point i lost the will to fix the broken download and gave up.

i wouldn't mind but i payed and expected a downloaded file that worked and was told i was imagining it was broken by various chuck in a smart comment types.

Crap Tech support in my view.

i don't think anyone should recieve that rubbish from people anywhere let alone someone that just took your money.

Anyway enough of my dissatisfaction with JustFlight

As an 8 possibly 9 year customer i can guarantee they will never have my bussiness again ever .

It's not the product i have a problem with it's the service! :dunno:

Regards
Rick
