Good to hear that! I love the SU planes and since the HARVARD/ TEXAN is one of my great loves since my childhood, I ' d like to see the definitive plane created from SU staff !
Flying Characteristics are good , the plane is well balanced but still too easy, also with FS9 parameters at 100% . I know the T-6 is not an easy plane to manage and this one flies like a "SUPER" SUPER CUB. Three points landings are easy to obtain but I think the whole beast flying behaviour could be enhanced in a more challenging manner-
Well , don't take my opinion as mere criticism. I gasconade my ideas ONLY to improve, if deemed , the SU new baby.
But I think I read in the thread that those at the base of page 1 are from the next version. Plus this first rollout isn't FSX yet but that's promised as a follow-on.
The VC looks more complete than another I'm very familiar with. If anyone bought this one how is the paint kit?

No way at all, its just good to hear comments that knows something about the real thing. I have a lot of hours in Cubs (250+) and am surprised that you have the flight model to emulate this light aeroplane. The T-6 as you know was an advanced trainer and so besides being good (at times) it did have a few vices and it was these that made it the aeroplane it was. There is no point in having a trainer that is easy to fly, that isnt going to get you anywhere at all. When the RCAF took delivery of 25 CanCar built Beech T-34 Mentors, they discovered that they werent up to scratch with the Harvards that they replaced being too easy to fly and 24 of them were soon sent onto Turkey.
I see some new repaints begin to appear on the usual websites (AVSIM, Flightsim). I am eagerly waiting for the second batch of versions from SU.
Apart the textures, this Texan / Harvard , albeit not definitive (the fin/rudder thickness is exaggerated, for istance) is a very good one and I prefer this SU if compared to the Alphasim.
I've still yet to fly her (well anything) as am still at my Dad's and dont know when I will return home. Cant really find the enthuisasm for it at the moment. Be interesting to see what this new Harvard is like though......
