Ahh..the VFR GenX demo..same as my error message..

..that I posted previously then deleted :brick: :lol:

Vegas.. backup your FSX scenery.cfg..delete that complete entry from your scenery.cfg, then re-number all the entries below it. The next entry will be:

[Area.115]
Title=blah blah
Local=blah blah
Layer=115
Active=TRUE
Required=TRUE

Re-number all the entries below that in sequence, area and layer.

Close and save, fire up FSX and see what happens.

Derek

edit:..no, wait...I misread that...think I'll go back to bed... :brick: :brick: :brick:

What a job that was. Took a while to amend each file to the next number but still won't play ball. Get the same message relating to area.115 - I thought that idea would have done it as well. :-(

unfortunately it looks alright...

Be sure that you actually HAVE a folder called Scenery directly under Addon Scenery... you might accidentally have deleted it.... :dunno:

..\Addon Scenery\Scenery

My entry looks exactly like yours:

[Area.120]
Title=Addon Scenery
Local=Addon Scenery
Layer=120
Active=TRUE
Required=FALSE

Silly question....did you say you tried to reload just the scenery itself...?

Hi Techy,

I think I know what I have done mate. The FSX/ADD-ON SCENERY/SCENERY folder has been deleted by yours truly. So I guess that makes me officially a t*t! STUPID

I am hoping I can be directed to the folder via the FSX disc unless anyone has any ideas?

per default it is an empty folder, so you should be home-free just creating a new empty folder called Scenery.

If you have manually (or automatically) installed any afcads etc. in this folders, they are of cause lost.

by the look of your scenery.cfg it doesn't look as you have that many addons installed, and those you have have their own scenery/texture "set" of folders.

So: Create an empty folder called Scenery directly under you "Addon Scenery" folder and you should be good.
