Only after just making out there was a Vulcan there did I notice there is one in the top set as well.

All you need is a little.....well a lot of imagination :dancer:

Special night vision eyes might help as well

Time for some glasses, gents! I saw it Chris, for what it's worth. Now, if you could get one on the runway and walk the others off into the sea, it would be smack on Blackbuck 1! I've often thought about the pilot's decision to opt for that angle...I suppose the thinking was better to have at least one hit the runway rather than the entire trail of 21 go into the sea. Shame though, as they could have been a lot more effective if they'd walked the length of the runway...I believe they had filled the crater by the next day. Still, strategically and politically the raid worked so who am I to complain!

Now I need to find these David Brice bombs...can you point us in the right direction?

Steve, they bombed from the north to the south, and they opted for the "runway cut" as there would be more of a chance of hitting the runway than trying to walk all 21 along it, which they all could have just gone off to the side... But yes the stratigic and polical gains of getting the Vulcan down there was hugely valuable... They did however try another two times, once missed totally and the other was canceled.
