Re: HP.42 in FSX:A
Hi Folks
There appears to be some confusion regarding Phil's posts.
Please re-read them at - Acceleration and SP2
EDIT
I must admit Phil's post was badly worded,
even with his subsequent edit, it's a little muddy.
So just to definitively clarify.
FSX Acceleration is the missions and aircraft.
The Acceleration package also included SP2.
The SP2 incorporated therein is the full SP2 product.
A seperate standalone SP2,
which will be identically functioning,
will be available as a download, or on cover disks
at some time in the near future.
Bottom line -
HP.42 in FSX:A
therefore also works in SP2 already. :prayer:

Re: HP.42 in FSX:A
Dan..As I understand it, they have included that part of SP2 that they have developed up until now, in the Acc. add-on. but the "real" SP2 will come later and it will be free.
Saying there's really no magic in telling what is and what isn't seems to contradict your earlier statement as you didn't know what you'd got!
Tks for clearing that up Paul ;-)

Re: HP.42 in FSX:A
Just for some more clarity, I did say that it isn't obvious if SP2 has been applied, nor is SP2 a separtate install on the DVD. It seems however that it is included as part of the FSXA install, albeit not in an obvious way. ;-)
Ben.

Re: HP.42 in FSX:A
OK, then if they have finished developing SP2 to enable it to ship along with FSX:A then why wait another 2 months or so to deliver SP2 separately ...? Why not let it be available now since it is already finished...? No logic in that. apart from wanting to sell some acc. packs first, but I truly don't believe in that.

Hi Folks
Please see Phil's post - FSX-SP2(DX10) delay factors
Note when Phil says "Acceleration and SP2 are separate products"
he's referring to Acceleration/SP2 integrated, and SP2 standalone packages.
