I flew in FlyBe's G-JECO last year, and encountered no problems at all...other than the captain asking us to stand in the aisle and jump up and down a couple of times on finals.

Dan,its' seen as a BF Goodrich problem (they designed and make the landing gear) rather than a Bombardier one;
the Bombardier Customer Service team are coming to meet our course on Thursday, mainly to cover
the CL604/605 and CRJ series (wot I'm learning about) but I bet someone brings up the Dash

An Elephant is a Mouse designed to
a government specification.
I doubt that this knowledge would improve potential SAS passeneger's perception of the type as a whole making the airlines decision to end operations with the type still valid. :think:

"In the world of virtual reality things are not always what they seem."
I don't think we will see a Dash-8 in SAS livery for next many months/years. The customers anxiety is too much to risk. Even though the latest incident has no relation to the others, the result of the O-ring failure was very similar to the collapsed gears.... even though they were caused by completely different matters.
That is not easily explained to Mr. and Mrs. Smith I an way so they will feel relaxed next time they are about to board a Dash-8..... So it is my firm believe that SAS' decision stands.... for a very long time.
