Is there a way to increase the number of cross sections in an object or to you just have to start again by deleting the object and redoing it with more cross sections from the start?

And.... (I'm wondering if its a Vista problem,) but I have done a basic tyre, I can click on the 3D model in the top right and select properties, but nothing happens.... Is this correct behaviour?

Hi Ben

Providing you have not deleted points then cross section mode will still be availiable

Then you can slect to add new cross section in that mode

If not then you could copy and join but you must be careful when joining to snap to the nearest vertice before joing and then snapping to scale after joining to get a clean join without double points.

I've loads of detail on the 360... just not any decent 3 views :-(
Ben,

Aviation News published a set of plans some years ago. The current owners of the title will sell you a photocopy.

Thats an excellent site andy! Thanks very much! :)

theres another wee tinker on their that caught my eye... didn't think I'd be able to find 3 views of that one! ;-)

Out of curiosity.. Is it easier to start with cylindrical based airframe rather than the box of the 330 / 360?

It seems to me at this early stage that the box shaped cross sections would have to start life as tubes in FSDS anyway?

HI Ben

With the Freighter I turned the tube into a box with corners the right radius

I did it from the front so all the cross sections were done together

Then I shaped each on on the flat so the corners stayed constant.

Aftwards I shaped any local cone blends
