Has any one else had problems with Asim downloads in recent days??????

I was trying to download last night to check out something for someone and I just could not get it

I tried repeatedly and eventually gave up and downloaded form elsewhere

I can't download from Avsim.had this yesterday as well.....Everytime I try to download it fails but the download counter goes up by one.....

Just downloaded it from avsim on a different computer, and it worked fine for me.

Maybe someone else on this forum can download it from avsim, and share it with the rest of the guys on this forum. If not, I'll e-mail you the files.

I'll see what happens but it seems odd that I have this problem and I just wonder if it a security staus change and my filters are blocking it

The fact that the downloads increase on the site indicates that as far as Avsim is concerned the download is happening and it is being block after that.

I'm sure one of the team will check out the textures and report on them

It's up now so......

Just go to Avsim's Library and type in "mitomi" (don't include the " ") and my files will come up.

I hope you guys can download the file on your side of the pond.....

Finally got my personal website back up and running. So, here are some of the different prop textures I've included in the package.

These are static screenshots; the prop textures will look different depending on the amount of prop rotation animation in effect. The solid disk version (with the yellow tips) has two different versions, but it's impossible to see the difference in static screenshots. You'll just have to load it up and try it out.

POINTED PROP TIPS....

Now that my website is up and running I can show you what I was talking about. I just round off that tip that the arrow is pointing to. That's all....
It just looks odd at full throttle, as the prop animation rotation slowed down enough to see this.

NOW that you have made your self clear - I went over to the CBFiles gallery and your correct that effect does appear on several different screenies of the vanguard by several different contributors - Having discussed the tip colouring with a couple
of people , you may wish to tone the yellow tip colour down slightly - having spent time on the ramp with Invicta's and some
Bealine Vanguards I can tell you it was never that bold and when seen in motion never that clear

Welcome to the forum and please consider this, there are a lot of people here who spend a great deal of time producing
the best freeware in the hobby, and an even greater number of people who's experience with "classic british" aircraft
spans over 50 years, so you may wish to phrase your posts slightly differently than "Ive fixed this and posted it at Avsim".


I understand as you said there are some langauage difficulties but I think everything is set straight now

I'd not noticed this before as I'm usually inside but I see the same pointed textures at low rpm too :o I'll download your new set and see how they look in the sim ;-)

Hi Dave,

That's not a prop texture issue.....

I have to cycle through the 2D cockpit at least once for the prop animation to work correctly. Try doing that and once you return to your exterior view, move your throttle forward and back to jump start the prop animation. I'm using the updated 2D panel; don't really know if that has any effect on this issue.
